books i rated 5 stars

unlikely animals - annie hartnett

by far probably my favourite book of the year! told from the perspective of the cemetery ghosts, unlikely animals follows emma's journey to care for her father, who's dying of a brain disease. i didn't expect to enjoy it as much as i did, it was a really fascinating read!

the angry women's choir - meg bignell

this was the most recent book i read on holidays, and just happened to be one of my favs! told from frey - the 'perfect’ wife's perspective, this book covers numerous stories told by different ‘angry’ women - all part of a chaotic choir. it was both comedic and eye opening!

caught up - liz tomforde

i've loved liz tomforde's earlier books, and this was no exception. the third book in its series, caught up is a basketball romance involving a single dad and his new nanny (his coach's daughter)

the first two books are also great, with each one set in the same universe!

throttled - lauren asher

another sports romance, although this time featuring race cars and their drivers. the first in a series of 4, throttled is a sort of rivals to lovers, featuring maya and her brother's new teammate. lauren asher also wrote the dreamland billionaire series, which i've read previously and loved too!
