hey there! i'm so glad you've stumbled across my page, either on purpose or by accident! my name is laura, or writingtiips, as i'm more commonly known!

i'm 15 years old, and i live in australia. i created a writing instagram account in early january, and since then it has grown massively - amassing 50k + followers! i post regularly (ideally daily), on a variety of topics; including writing tips, advice, lists, or just some fun posts.

​

this website will be used for the same purpose! each post i share on instagram will also be shared in an article on here, for easy access/visibility of text, etc. book reviews are also included on this site! i'm an avid reader - so much so, i've already read 100 books this year as of early july.

​

ever since an early age, i've loved writing. creative, analytical, persuasive - you name it, i enjoy it. even as a child i was always coming up with fun little stories (although i would like to think they have improved since then!!) on topics ranging from storms to strawberry powered sisters.

​

that brings me to my next topic - my current works. although i am most definitely not a published author yet, i am in the process of drafting two books! both are ya fantasy/romance, one set in a magical library between worlds, and the other in a world hidden in a dungeon! if you're interested in knowing more, check out my instagram!

i've also recently rekindled my love for poetry. in may, i hosted 'mayday', a month of daily poetry writing prompts! i had so much fun doing this, and seeing everyone's responses - and i can not wait to host this again next year.
